Driver Test Station

The Driver Test Station tests the strength and reaction time of the drivers legs and hands

The Test Station tests both the disabled and able bodied driver

The Driver Test Station consists of:
The Cockpit, Driving Aids, Load Sensor,Electronics, and PC Software

General Test Measurement Information:

Menox Test Station is an evaluator tool used to determine a customer’s strength and reaction times. The Test Station does not produce a Pass/Failed result but provides the Evaluator with true facts in making these decisions.

All white fields display the maximum power and time during testing.
All yellow numeric fields are adjustment or preset values which the "Tester" can change.
The measurement of Power/Force can be done in Kilograms or Pounds. Accuracy rate is +/-  3,5%

Test Measurements:

1. POWER: Turning of the steering wheel left with left, right or both hands.  The test can be done with/without steering ball. The friction on the steering wheel can be mechanically increased/decreased. When performing the test with one hand, pay close attention to the area where turning power decreases. ex. The steering wheel stops at position 4 O'clock

2. POWER: Turning of the steering wheel right with left, right, or both hands. The test can be done with/without steering ball. The friction on the steering wheel can be mechanically.

3. POWER: The pushing force of left hand during braking.

4. POWER: The pulling or "rocking" force of left hand during acceleration.

5. POWER: The pushing force of right hand during braking.

6. POWER: The pulling force of right hand during acceleration.

7. POWER: Force applied on brake pedal with both left and right leg. With the installation of the Menox Stamp Pedal Extension you will also be able to test shorter people.

8. POWER: Force applied on accelerator pedal with right or left foot. For left foot acceleration test you will need to use Menox Left Foot Accelerator. With the installation of the Menox Stamp Pedal Extension you will also be able to test shorter people.

9. TIMER: Reaction time of feet. This test measures the time it takes to move the foot from full acceleration to full braking. The yellow field allows you to insert the force level when the timer starts and stops. The white field, time in sec, displays the time used to complete the test. The test can be reset by pressing the Reset button.

10 TIMER: Reaction time of the left hand. This test measures how fast the left hand moves the hand control from full acceleration to full braking. The yellow field allows you to insert the force level when the timer starts and stops. The white field, time in sec, displays the time used to complete the test. The test can be reset by pressing the Reset button.

11.TIMER: Reaction time of the right hand. This test measures how fast the right hand moves the hand control from full acceleration to full braking. The yellow field allows you to insert the force level when the timer starts and stops. The white field, time in sec, displays the time used to complete the test. The test can be reset by pressing the Reset button.

12. 6 POINT REACTION TEST measures and compares the reaction time between six different points. These points are: left had acceleration and braking, right had acceleration and braking, and pedals acceleration and braking. The test works accordingly: when the test starts, the orange balls (for hands) or orange squares (for pedals) will change to a red or green light. The Red light will be on the braking side and the green light on the acceleration side. For ex. when a red light appears in the left square, the person been tested must press the brake as quickly as possible. The timer stops when the braking force has achieved the number set in the yellow field. A two second delay will automatically move the test unto the next stage. The test continues until each "stage" has acquired 4 results. On the top right of the test screen, there are 4 columns, these record the results of the hands. Below these are 2 columns which are results obtained from the pedals, the left side is brake and right side accelerator results. With this test we can compare which hand/leg has the quickest reaction time. This result indicates if the tested person should control the brake/accelerator with the left or right hand.
